Hi, my name is Melissa, I am a recent college grad in the Philadelphia area. I am getting ready to start a career as well as enroll in graduate school!
I have been overweight my whole life, and have been struggling very badly over the past few years to control what feels overwhelming and exhausting. So far I have lost inches but no significant weight which is a little annoying. However, I am enjoying the benefits of a new healthy lifestyle such as strength, endurance, energy and happiness.
I have been blessed to be healthy and not be diagnosed with various diseases related to being obese, but I have a feeling that one day my weight will catch up to me, as asthma, diabetes, and heart problems run in my family, not to mention a long family history of cancer.
Be able to run for more than 3 minutes, read more, keep in touch with friends more, apply to grad school, get a full time job, be busy but remain healthy, eat more fruits and veggies. Become a bone marrow donor.
Working out at the gym about 5 days a week for about 1.5-2 hours each time. Tracking all of the food that I consume.
