God is Doing A New Thing

The story continues - January 2011 - After struggling with almost two years of hormonal fluctuations due to that nasty change of life ;-), my body regulated again. Hunger and satisfied became more predictable and continue to be now. The size increase stopped--I had "grown" up about two sizes which I maintained for about a year-- and then I released the weight again. Now I am about the size I was at the time when I lost all my weight in 2007, but I haven't weighed.

On the exercise front, I have finally "given in" to getting regular about exercise. This has made a huge difference in my life (all good ways). I needed something that I could do without obsessing about numbers, miles, sets and repetitions. I use TurboFire which comes with a workout schedule. I pop in the DVD(s) for the day and just do what is prescribed. I don't have to track or write down anything. I was worried for many years that I would become obsessive again about exercise if I began again. I am thankful to say that my fears haven't been realized. I do still have issues to work through...but I am pleased with the overall changes. I have been doing TurboFire workouts for three and a half months.

My Goals:
1. To move my body in an utterly delightful, enjoyable, worshipful way a minimum of 4 times each week for 30 minutes in addition to all of my adventures!

2. To drink more water and less diet soda each day!

3. To continue to eat between the parameters of hunger and satisfaction.

4. To delight myself in the Lord and in His people!

My Program:
I eat when I am hungry and stop when I am no longer hungry. I try to go to God for all those other things that used to send me to food! I choose to eat foods that delight my taste buds and also work well for my body. With Thin Within, no food is taboo. I love the freedom!

Personal Information:
Nestled with my family in the California Sierra Nevada foothills. Two great kids who I homeschool and a terrific, supportive husband. I am an "at home" mom who also freelance writes.

Hi! And welcome to the Beachbody Buddies team! I'm Laurie and I hope you will jump right on in and introduce yourself! We have a couple of challenges going right now. There's a personal fitness minutes challenge where you can choose your own goal for the month and do a count down to the end. There are also a couple of Buddy Support Groups (BSGs) that we have going. The focus of these is mostly support, but they have little challenges to keep us up and moving by competing for points. We're in our second week right now, so there's still lots of time for you to be involved in one of these. If you're interested, just let me know and I'll put you on one! We'd love to have you join us!

I certainly know what you mean about the "control" issue with working out. That is why I had avoided it recently as well, but I started this past week doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Slim Down and that is it. In the past I would have added all kinds of other stuff to in an effort to force the numbers, but not now. God is in control of this thing for me and He'll help me get to that perfect size for me! I'm glad things are going well!
