confidence in the making!

After I had my son 19 months ago I was already overweight, then I put 50+ more on! I really can't be this person I've become, especially for my son's well being. I've always been overweight but not morbidly. In highschool and the few years after I was super active and went to spinning class religiously. Now, 30 minutes on my elliptical makes me feel like I'm going to die! This site might just be what I need to stay motivated, I hope to make a lot of new friends. Thank you all for being so ...

Sept 21, 2009 Started my Optifast program today! (only weighing-in once a month) p.s. NOT getting surgery, just doing the shakes!

July 29, 2010 OOPS! I fell off the wagon for so long that I gained all my weight back. Fortunately, I have started Weight watchers as of last week with my best friend so I'm going strong again. No more Optifast-I just think it's too unhealthy and you gain everything back as soon as you go off!!

Feb 11, 2011 Still going strong! I have lost 58 lbs now!!!! I have a long way to go, but the weight watchers way of life is now thoroughly embedded in my way of thinking!

I really don't want to have a goal weight because it could be unresonable for me. Instead I just want to feel better, get healthy, and be able to stay active with my son.

Hi Tracy! Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such an encouraging post !!! I noticed that we are both DONE Girls!! emoticon NO MORE being the fat girl for me! Let me tell you, posting those numbers out there for everyone to see was hard enough, but having to do it twice?!?! (Because the computer ate my blog LOL) - that was really a test of my conviction! But now that its done, I feel so much better! I'm committed to hitting that intermediate goal of 183... so thanks for the offer of support, I'll probably have to take you up on it!

Hi Tracy,
I just wanted to tell you that your little emoticon on Done Girls was so funny. Thanks for making me giggle.

Hey Tracy,
Thanks SO much for joining the Clothing Swap Divas! I had to come check out your spark page. Your boy is such a cutie patootie! I have a 2 year old and he is the light of my life. He's also a skin and bones little dude, so I'm really trying to lose weight for him. Some people say that if you don't want to do it for yourself that it's not going to work but I totally disagree, doing it for my son and husband is a much huger motivation to me than simply doing it for myself.

Please keep blogging! I would love to get to know you more and share this journey with you. I started back in May and although I started strong, I lost 30 lbs and then kind of gave up and fell back into old habits and got lazy. I've now been gaining and losing the same 2 lbs for a month (or longer!) I'm mad at myself for losing a whole months progress, but I'm trying to get re-focused.

I have lots of pants in size 26 from Old Navy that I'm trying to find a home for. Not sure your size or what you need, but if that would help you out please let me know.

Sorry for venting and leaving you the worlds longest post, but I feel like we have a lot in common.

Happy Thursday!
Amy
