Hi! Tracking makes me pay attention

I joined SparkPeople in October 2009, and I'm loving the accountability. Like many of you, I tend to spend quite a bit of time on the site, but it's working! I've known how to eat less and burn more calories for years, but putting it into practice is a little different. My favourite activities this year are Kung Fu and Pilates. I like trying new foods. For example, I recently discovered the great combination of herb and garlic goat cheese and fiber rye crispbread. Yummy and low calorie!

It's essentially an energy drink with 4% alcohol. It was sweet and well, disgusting really. But I thought the name was pretty cool, so it was worth it just for the photo! (but not the 50cal / 100ml!)

Thank you for sticking with me and giving me comments that both encourage and tell it to me straight. I can become a bit self / diet obsessed and living in Japan does make it harder. So it's good for me when I get reminders not to be so negative!
I have some quotes from Dale Carnegie in the bathroom and on my calendar I now have 'love my curves!' written on it. It's my new mantra! I may not be the thin model like average Japanese girl but I will be the foreigner with sexy hips! haha

Hi! I got into hooping after seeing the results a friend got from doing about 30min a day. She doesn't diet, just hoop, and yet over the course of probably a year she is at a weight that really suits her. Inspired, I ordered a weighted hoop (1.2kg) off amazon. It's a bit thick and has an inner uneven surface so hard for doing tricks I'm finding... There are some good beginner hoop tutorials on Youtube and lately I've been trying this workout one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAyrTDOooo
s) while I decide whether it's worth getting a slimmer hoop for tricks. Brands like Hoopnotica can get expensive... Anyway hooping is fun! Worth trying it out! :)

Thanks for commenting on my blog! Those songs that you recommended were great! I have thought about taking a dance class! I used to be in showchoir (I know...not the same thing) but I loved it!
