I hope I can be a different kind of statistic

3/31/2011 - I'm still fighting this fight. I think my story is pretty typical, I got married, had kids and gained weight. Through years of yo-yo dieting, I've made a pretty zig-zag line on the weight chart. I started a weight loss challenge with friends on 1/31/2011, two months ago. I've lost 17.6 pounds so far. There's 4 weeks left in the challenge and I am very motivated to finish strong.

Four weeks to go, so I know I'll get under 200, haven't been there in about 3 years.

I'm outta here to go get on the treadmill. I start out slow and gradually work up to a quick pace, pump my arms (and hit my knuckles on the bar, OUCH!) and put on a little incline.

3/22/09 - IDK!!! Afraid to look, but last time I looked it was 214, I will check in the morning & post it. (Update: it was 216.4)

My Goals:
I need to lose at least 50 pounds, and I would like to be able to see my feet again. All of my clothes are tight and I would like to get away from the plus sizes.



My Program:
I have a treadmill, a band resistance set-up, an ab lounge ultra and a DVR.

The plan: walk on the treadmill daily while watching 30-60 min. of something I've recorded on the DVR. Use the ab lounge daily. Follow a low calorie diet of 1200-1550 calories a day.



Personal Information:
I'm 42 years old, married for 20+ years and we have 2 teenage children. I am a real estate agent and I think I would be more confident if I was happy with my weight.

Hang in their woman...I just had a baby 3 weeks ago...and totally wasn't working out. I am 214 lbs...I actually lost weight after being pregnant. I am going to try again to get this weight off...I have a baby to raise another 20 years...so I have another reason to get off my ass....Best wishes to you.

I am so glad to hear from you! Looks like you have been working at it yourself. Slow and Steady that is my way and it seems to work.
How long now with the new realty? How are the kids?

I missed you! We can do this together. I have been slacking as well. I am at my heaviest and need to get it off. I have maintained for months now but that isn't good enough. I am glad you are back. Glad work has been busy as well. LET'S GO! I need to pump up my exercise ball as well. LOL!
