hi, i'm tracie.

i have fought for the last 30 years to empower myself to be healthy.
some times i'm better at it than others.

in the fall of 2011 i was in the best physical shape of my life at 45 yrs old. during a run i could feel a sharp pain in my knee. i pushed through it like i had done before. i knew i had been over training but ignored it.
the next time i went to run i knew i was done.
during the 'healing' process i fell into a depression and gave up on really ...

during the 'healing' process i fell into a depression and gave up on really training/working out. finding excuses not to do it and just didn't.

i started over eating.
my weight started going up and my clothes were getting tighter and tighter. i ignored that also, for as long as i could.
i was up almost 20 lbs and had very little muscle tone 1 yr later.

11/1/12 i had enough and decided it was time to regroup and start again. it was time to turn off the negative mental loop and get straight with my health.

3/01/12 i hit my weight loss goal of 18lbs and a few more! i feel fantastic! i'm currently teeter tottering between 21-23lbs lost trying to maintain a healthy weight.

physical program.
power walk. hike. yoga. 3-5 times per week.
finding balance between activity and resting. no over training!

nutrition program.
1250-1500 daily.
vegetarian meals (ovo lacto)
healthy clean whole foods.
low/no gluten/white sugar.
high fiber. low fats.
portion control!
mindful eating.
wise choices when i splurge.

i am originally from michigan, usa.
in 2010 i became an expat. i packed my life into 2 suitcases flew across the world and started life over in
helsinki, finland.

I am so impressed that you got the courage to start exercise again after an injury! This is the first time I've seen a dark purple Spark Page and I like it! It's beautiful and reminds me of Tuscany.
