I am a work in progress, but each day is progress that I can be proud of!

I ran my 1st 5k on April 2nd 2011, I finished in 44 min! I am so proud to call myself a runner. I was never able to run very far before, even when I was in shape! But with the help and encouragement of SP, I did it! Can't wait until my next one! Thanks Spark People and Spark friends for all your encouragement and support!

Fitness Minutes: 13,825

My Goals:
I want to be a good wt for me and be healthy and to feel good.
I want to be a role model for my children so they do not have to go thru the same wt battles.
I want to run a 5k.
I want to do a mini triathlon.
And sooooo much more!


My Program:
(1) Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.
(2) Eat 1200 to 1550 cal a day and track them.
(3) Eat AT LEAST 3 fruits and 2 veggies a wk:
(4)Cardio 5 x's a wk for 40 to 50 min: bike, jog, treadmill, elliptical
(5) Strength training (BL Circuit) 3x's a week.



Personal Information:
I am a wife to a wonderful husband, a mom of 3 beautiful children, 2 girls (17 & 15) and 1 boy (5), and I have 2 dogs and 1 cat and 3 fish and 1 horse.
I have 2 of the most awesome parents in the world.
I am a ER nurse.
Choir teacher at my children's school.


Other Information:
My main goal other than losing wt and becoming healthy is to run a 5k. I've never been a runner, even when I was in good health. I am training for my 1st race. date to follow.
