Leaving my comfort zone...

Leaving my comfort zone

So in 2010 enjoying my comfort zone resulted in a weight gain of 20lbs. Sure I exercised and even achieved some new fitness goals but I didn't devote the same energy and passion to my diet choices.

Iím leaving this old familiar spot to a place where Iíll need to be strong and make careful eating choices. I need to plan and be prepared. I know it wonít be easy but the end goal is worth it. So here I goÖlet see where 2011 takes me!

Thanks Tracey. This week I'm vowing to make it. I got in a 2 mile run this morning and have 3 other runs planned as well as some cross training. Got to take it up a notch as Half Marathon is getting closer and closer! lol

The Garmin 305 is awesome! I used it today for my run with the team. Managed to do 5 miles, but the last mile was a run/walk combination. It is the coolest thing seeing it uploaded on Google!

Half in February! Wow! You're a warrior! lol I live in New Jersey - not so hot ... lol. I'm doing the Marathon with Team in Training - the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's sports charity training. They have coaches guiding us every step of way and group runs. My first run with the team is supposed to be this Saturday but we're supposed to get snow tomorrow. Not sure it won't be cancelled.

BTW, I finally did my first 5K in October. Came in at 34:19, which I think is not terrible for a first time. Hoping I can do the half.
