Before I started Sparkpeople I was 180 plus pounds, after losing some weight but needing to lose more I joined Sparkpeople and at that time I was around 150. I am in 130's now, it fluctuates a bit. My advice (what worked for me) was that I promised myself at least 10 minutes on my DP Fitness bike, or a 10 minute walk with my dog (once I started I usually did more but on the days I ABSOLUTELY did not want to get going I asked myself "am I really NOT worth 10 minutes of my time, just 10 minutes) and I started to learn yoga (look up the Sun Salutation) on internet. I am an all or nothing, looking for the fast fix so I won't lie, this process was tough for me. If I can't master it RIGHT now I give up. However, I continue to say "it is consistency NOT quality". Not implying not being careful and each thing you do you should take care to do it as mindful and safe as possible however my point being a little today may not get you where you want to be tomorrow but in a year you will be certainly be guaranteed to get to where you want to be. Some mantras that worked for me "You can only fail if you don't try" and "Slow and steady wins the race". It did work for me.
Good luck and feel free to seek motivation and or a buddY!!! 2693 days ago
