TIME TO ENJOY LIFE!

Hi my name is Tina and I use to be pretty clueless when it came to web sights but not any more thanks to spark people and my first team ever "scared to post".

I have been on Spark People since April 08 and in June 08 I finally hit my first goal. for the first time in 5 years i am below 300 pounds.

I have been over weight since i was in my 20's and i just hit the big 40 this year. I have battled food my whole life and now my knees are shot. I maxed out at 335 lbs ...

I have been on Spark People since April 08 and in June 08 I finally hit my first goal. for the first time in 5 years i am below 300 pounds.

I have been over weight since i was in my 20's and i just hit the big 40 this year. I have battled food my whole life and now my knees are shot. I maxed out at 335 lbs and was almost in a wheel chair but i could not see my self in that life so i decided to make a change. My doctor told me about Spark People and it was the turning point in my life. I am now more confident and in control of my life. i am down 52 pounds so far and my knees are thanking me. i went dancing again something i thought i would never do again.

My advice to anyone new to this sight is to join as many of the teams you can and find a buddy and make friends. They will keep you motivated and be there for you when you have your slips and your victory's.

My Goals:
I have reached my first goal to be under 300 by October of 2008.

My next goal is to be down to 250 by June 2009.

The third goal is be close to 200 by Dec 2009

My Program:
I watch my calories and try to stay with in my calorie range for the day.
I try to eat 5 small meals a day with no late night eating and drink 8 to 10 glases of water a day.

I walk when ever i can, use my hand weights and i am gradually working my knees up to a more vigorous work out.

Personal Information:
MY name is Tina Patton I am currently 40 years old i am married and have twin sons age 15. I live in Germansville PA which is just north of Allentown PA

Other Information:
I love to read just about anything I can get my hands on. I belong to almost every book club but my favorite is ZOOBA all my books are only $10.00. I also love anything at all to do with animals and nature

We have Keep moving forward every day. We are not going to a destination, we are on a journey and that journey will never end.

Use every day as a new day to make good choices and you'll make your goals.

emoticon to LV Sparks! emoticon on the 40 pound weight loss. I recently have just lost about 41 pounds as well. I have about 40 to go. I live in Slatington, as does another lady named STARTED_SMILING on here. Just wondering is there anywhere in particular you walk there? Maybe sometime we could meet. We walk on a trail in Slatington but we're doing it in the mornings. It would be nice to hang out sometime. Great to meet you and keep the weight loss going!! emoticon
