I've been away for quite some time. Lots have happened. I ended up losing a lot of the weight I gained in 2012 when I stopped smoking, only to begin smoking again. No worries, I stopped again August of this year and it's for good.

I'm about 5'2 and I weigh 161 pounds. Last time I was here, looks like I was 175. I also had a husband when I was here last. That has also changed. It contributed to the weight loss (however unhealthy) I saw this past year.

So, now I'm back on track. While I won't post much or seem as active, I will still be in the background making changes to my life physically as well as emotionally and mentally.

My Goals:
My main goal is to lose more weight than I ever believed possible. I also want to successfully run and finish a 5k.

The more I gained over the years, the more excuses I made and the more comfortable I became. I would just say to myself, "Ok, well as long as I don't go over [insert weight here] I'm fine. I yo-yo'ed between 160 and 170 for years. When I stopped smoking February 2012, I gained 30lbs in almost 4 months. I found that my knees ached, nothing fit comfortably, and my underwear began to burst at the seams for heavens sake! On more than one occasion I considered going back to smoking.
My friend Dorothy (who is also a member) listened patiently to my rantings about my weight and said one simple thing when I was done: SparkPeople.

As always, she was right :)

My Program:
Well, right now I have nothing set in stone. I watch what i eat and make healthier choices. I make sure that no matter what I follow an exercise plan for at least 5 days.

Personal Information:
I am the oldest of six and it just so happens that my siblings are my best friends. I am married with 2 kids and I have a wicked sweet tooth.
