After losing 19 pounds on SparkPeople about a year ago, then gaining it all back again, I am renewing my resolution and restarting my weight loss journey to become a healthier me.

My passion is singing, and am looking for more ways to bring honour to Jesus in this way. My husband and I are members of our church's Worship Team; I sing backup and piano, he plays guitar (acoustic, bass, electric; wherever he's needed) and drums--not all at the same time :) . We feel the Lord leading in this ministry together and we await His direction for the right doors to open.

In October of 2012 I began homeschooling our children. This has been a very rewarding challenge and I enjoy having our two youngest home with me, while our oldest just started Grade 9 at our local high school this year. Our children have adjusted well, and are eager to continue, while I strive to give them the best possible in all aspects of education as we walk in the direction the Lord is taking our family.

"Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path." Psalm 119:105 NLT

My Goals:
My first goal is to lose 29 pounds. After that, I hope to continue watching what I eat, and hopefully will lose a little more.

My Program:
My main method of weight loss is food control; tracking everything I eat so I'll make smarter choices, as well as cutting portion sizes. I'm hoping I can start implementing a bit of exercise as I get to a more comfortable weight and start to increase my energy level.

Personal Information:
I live in a small town in Ontario, Canada with my wonderful husband and three beautiful children.

Other Information:
"All I have is what God gives and that's all the life that I was meant to live." ~John Reuben

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I don't normally condone jealousy either and I'm not really jealous of them anymore, I just want to show him that I can do it...not that he cares, but I want it nonetheless. It'll make ME feel better. LOL

As for the new and fun ways to exercise, I recently bought EA Active for my Wii and I totally love it. It's a good workout and the time really flies by. The routine gets switched out each time you do it, so it's not boring like the Wii Fit is. I also bought the DVD Walk Away the Pounds by Leslie Sansone and it's a pretty good workout as well. Hula hooping on the Wii Fit is pretty fun too. I just decided that this is something I need to do if I don't want to end up thin and saggy so I tried to find something that would MAKE me want to workout. Active really makes me want to work out, in fact, I'm going to do it when I get home tonight (I already did it this morning).

I hope you find something you can use to encourage you to work out. Once you start doing it you'll really feel better about this whole process...I do anyway. Good luck!!! emoticon
