Tonya Time is now!

I am a 37 (very soon to be 38) year old mother of two, who works full time out of the home with a pretty demanding job. I handle the demands of running a home, a family, a job, and trying to be athletic and live a healthy lifestyle... it's not easy. Sometimes I fall, but I keep keeping on and will reach my goal!!

I run with buddies often, I work out at the gym regular, I swim on occasion and bike when I can.

STOP before I eat!!! I need to take a breath and think before I eat anything, this will often help me from making BIG mistakes. I know how to eat healthy, the problem is doing it with a busy lifestyle on a budget... but I am making it happen!!!

Personal Information:
I live in Decatur Alabama. I work in Cullman, Al as an Office Manger.

I have two children ages 18 and 15.

I have two fur babies.

I have a very supportive partner in life who is my rock for over 11 years.

I am blessed well beyond measure!

no wet dog for me this year. we have a family reunion that week. im gonna miss you! you will do great though!. hope to see you @ running on Thursday. emoticon

I like your smoothie recipe.. I have a ninja and I love it.. makes great smoothies.. got to get some whey powder (non flavor) I am waiting for my chocolate one to finish up before I buy more.. ...

since we are sharing recipes I got a great one I got out of WW mag..

take 1/2 cup of oatmeal and one cup of water let the oatmeal soak for 5 mins. use quick cook oatmeal

in blender put one 1/2cup of Greek Plain yogurt
one small banana
6 or 8 frozen strawberries or blueberries 1/2 cup
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp honey, (I used almond butter)
1/4 tsp cinnamon

Add the oatmeal mixture chi seeds if you like
and blend a way.. it is really good 263 calories for 1 cup..

Give yourself a pat on the back for doing triathlons and all the exercise in general. You Rock!!

I was thrilled with myself when I did a 5K on my treadmill!
