Way to go Tom! I was browsing thru WI profiles and saw yours. I read your June Blog about losing the equivalent weight of your daughter. That's awesome! Also, you mentioned losing a "bag of mortar mix." My reference is the 40 lb bags of salt for my water softener! So far I've lost 1/2 a bag :) Keep up the good work.
Tom, I just read your post on what intimidates you about losing weight. Who cares what you look like on your bike--you are out there doing it, that's what counts--as for taking in the pants--have you ever tried savers or goodwill or salvation army? I shop at these places when I need clothes--I can afford new clothing--and buy new stuff too--but I prefer to buy recycled stuff, as its way cheaper, and I like to think its helping the planet. Also, I dont like that claustrophobic atmosphere in malls. At savers, I can get in,, check the racks quickly, and leave within 5 minutes. They don't always have something, but it is like a treasure hunt. Good luck with your weightloss.
you are doing so great.. and i know the struggle.. i started here at 330 one year ago and am now at 92lbs down. Just keep focused on the golden egg.. and thats you being fit and healthy.. being able to run and play with the kids.. being able top pay baseball and take them hiking .. so much is waiting for you.. put yourself first and always remember that you are worth the time and frustration that comes with this journey..
