One Step at a Time

I was so excited to find SparkPeople. Setting small goals is the only way I have ever found to make changes that last.


And then I stopped using Spark, and things went downhill! I feel like crud and it is time to do something about it! So I'm back!

Again...Only this time I have already made improvements...at least in the exercise category (my worst)

My Goals:
I just want to be healthier. More specifically my big goals are:
*handle stress better
*less illness
*lose 30-40 pounds
*exercise!
* lower my cholesterol



My Program:
I am changing small things at a time. Currently I am focusing on
*increasing my water intake (and decreasing pop!)
*Eating more fruits and vegetables
*Spending time reading my Bible daily

Personal Information:
I married my husband, Scott, 3years ago. He is my hero. He has a daughter, Eleanor. She is 9. She lives with her mom, but visits on the weekends.
My family is very important to me. I am close to my mom and call my step-dad "Dad". My grandma, aunt, uncle, and cousin round out my family. I love Scott's family and consider them mine as well!
I have been a nurse for a little over 4years. I work 7 p.m. -7 a.m. in the CCU at a local hospital . I love my job!

Other Information:
I am active in my church, where I lead our GA class. I love to read, but rarely take the time to do it. Scott and I have 3 dogs (he had 2 and I brought 1 to the marriage). They are all inside dogs. We just can't get rid of any of them for various reasons.

emoticon My best hint: Make your TICKER show fitness minutes...
this moves much faster than pounds lost. Then it resets the first of each month.
