Me on the happiest day of my life (my wedding) feeling like "Toby with the Ice Blue Eyes"
top to bottom: Toby, Kalen, Jean, and Sprite = My beautiful family (minus the cats, who don't pose well)
Graduated MTI Paralegal program with a 4.0 GPA
Shared Food & Fitness Trackers
There are 2 ways I think of myself physically speaking: as the girl with the beautiful ice blue eyes, or as that obese woman she turned into who's depressed and eating junk food in front of the TV. If I remember that underneath the extra pounds I'm still that beautiful girl, then I believe I deserve to feel like her again.
I just reset my goals, but want to save my old data, so here it is:

Where does it say I'm student of the week? Is that why my picture is up on the NonTraditional Students forum? Cool! All I did was track my homework ;-)

LOL.... I see the weight loss as putting down a big bag of dog food!
Thanks for the goodie... hey, as long as I don't have to drop a couple hundred bucks on it, I'll take it! "Virtual law school study-buddy" I like that!
I'm finding much the same thing with the reading. The issues and the rules seem to jump out now and I don't have to spend as much time briefing. And the dicta, I can skim through and not worry about if I'm missing something. So far, they haven't gotten more interesting, but they are definitely going faster. I hated contracts, but ironically, it's the class I got my best grades in. Go figure.
I spoke to the Academic Success director this morning (kind of the law school equivalent of a HS guidance counselor) and she helped me put together a very rough schedule of what to take the rest of my law school career. She also pointed out the "don't miss" classes that are always tested on the bar exam here (I'm in Ohio) She also advised me on what classes are okay to take at the same time and which ones will be harder. We have to have our bar admission application in by November 15 and she advised me to get moving on it by mid September because of the sheer volume of info required for it. So I'm feeling okay about it, at least like I've got a plan.
Now the problem is, my tendency when I have more time on my hands is I tend to fool around more and actually get less done! So I must force myself back to studying, and lay off some of the administrative crap. It isn't going anywhere, and I need to prep for classes!

38 lbs is like putting down a toddler (a BIG one) that I'd been carrying around day and night!

Woo Hoo on that weight loss. I like to visualize each pound that I've lost as a pound of hamburger lined up on the counter. 38 lbs is a lot of hamburger!
