* To have energy throughout the day. * To adjust the amount of food I eat to get back to and maintain my target weight. * To adjust my feelings of hunger and satiety so they match the amount of food I should be eating.
* Track everything I eat. * Experiment with my diet to figure out what works best for me. * Exercise 5-6 times per week. * Address *why* I tend to eat too much.
I think health and fitness and weight management take a lot of time and effort, and I make them a priority. I like having a forum where other people share the focus. In the real world, sometimes I wonder if I come off like a jerk when I make healthy choices or struggle with the few pounds so close to my target weight when I am around people I adore who have let their health and weight go in pursuit of other (noble) endeavors.
Before joining SP, I was already exercising and making healthy food choices. My problem is portion sizes. I tend to eat a LOT of healthy whole foods. Big ol' plate-fulls.
