Mike's Weight Loss Journey

My name is Mike. I am a 36 year old male. I am 6'10" tall and currently weigh 450 pounds. I have begun the process of having the lap-band surgery. Since October of 2009 I have been sticking to a diet and exercising more and I have been able to loose 33 pounds. My goal weight is 250-275 pounds. Both my doctor and I feel that this would be a realistic and healthy weight for me. Since October of 2009 I have been sticking to a diet and exercising more and I have been able to loose 33 pounds. My goal weight is 250-275 pounds. Both my doctor and I feel that this would be a realistic and healthy weight for me. I am fortunate in the fact that I do not suffer from high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sugar diabetes --- I am just big!!! I do have back and hip problems due to an automobile accident, but weight loss would most definately help ease the pain. I don't expect to magically loose all the weight quickly with the band - but it will definately be worth it in the end.

Welcome to the 300+team. 300 is such a BIG number but if we persevere, focus and motivate one another we can reach our goals!
We have so much of life ahead of us and it is so much better to work on ourselves and reach for our goals.
