A little about who I am.

I am a former Sparker. I had success and then failure. I start to get more involved the social aspect then with the healthy aspect of this website.

So I decided to take a break and regroup and eventually that break became, I just need to start over! Hence my new log on name T(the) New Me!

Since joining spark the first time I have had two surgeries.
My first was to fuse my ankle to my heel! The social aspect of spark people did help me very much through that ruff time period and for that I am thankful.

My ankle is doing great! I wish I had this surgery 7 years earlier. To think I walked on my ankle for nearly 8 years in pain!
Now I am doing great!!! I walked over 65 miles while on a 7 day vacation in December and my foot could not of done better!! ( Minus a couple blisters :)

The second surgery was last summer. This time instead of fusing some bones they actually took a bone out of my thumb and wrist area. I hope someday to look back on this surgery with as much positivity as I did with the ankle. But at this time I do not! I am still in recovery and it is ruff!

I am a mother. wife and a teacher. I have taught kindergarten for the last 7 years.

I am a HUGE Disney fan. As well as a Harry Potter Fan.

I love to read, scrapbook and just about any crafts.
For reading I like mysteries and suspense.
For scrapbooking I now do only digital scrapbooking but find it very rewarding. And much more space and cost effective!
As for crafts. Basically if I am creating something I am happy. I like to paper craft make items such as boxes and useful items out of paper. I am currently into loom knitting and now just taught my self to knit with knitting needles.
You name the craft I have probably done it. The one thing I do not do is sewing! I leave that up to my mother! :) I have tried and I have failed!

My Program:
1) Follow Spark Coach

Week 1 of boot camp
do 10 minutes of cardio 6 days a week. AND do One strength training boot camp video 5 days at a modified level.

Week 2of boot camp
do 15 - 20 minutes of cardio 6 days a week. AND do One strength training boot camp video 5 days at an increased level from.

Week 3 of boot camp
do 20-25 minutes of cardio 6 days a week. AND do One strength training boot camp video 5 days at basic level

Week 4 of boot camp
do 25-30 minutes of cardio 6 days a week. AND do One strength training boot camp video 5 days at with some advanced level.

But mostly I like going to Disneyland every chance I get!

    You are so sweet! No, I will not have the surgery - my doctor does not like it. I just have to severely limit the pounding that I do to my feet, which means, yes, Irish dance is mostly out, too - short bits at home but not 1 1/2 hour lessons 2 or 3 time a week like I used to do. 4 or 5 miles of walking will be my daily limit, too, instead of 7 to 10 when I was training for the half marathons. Oh well! I will seek out new activities to love. Thanks for the suggestion!

    You are so awesome! Thanks for the really supportive comments on my status today. "Stupid thoughts" are those when I am saying mean things to myself - fat, ugly, can't do anything right - which often lead to large amounts of chocolate in the tummy. But I walked 4 miles with my friend and got tons done on my to do list, so I am feeling "more powerful" now. Have a great holiday weekend! Hugs, Becky
