A lot of changes have happened since I first joined. The husband retired from the Navy. All kids are grown. We have 6 grandkids now. I've quit coloring my hair (it just got to be too much). We moved back to East Tennessee, and I've gained back most of what I'd lost.

So... it's official. I'm back to tracking. I found myself a new gym/trainers. I'm also back into karate working towards my black belt. Hoping to have that in a year or less.

Fitness Minutes: 29,433

My Goals:
"I started out at 189 on September 27, 2009. I've already lost 25 lbs. Idealistically, I would like to loose 40 more, but my husband thinks it would be too much."

That was back in 2010/11. My goals are pretty much the same. As of today (3Sept2017), I am at 181. I would like to lose down to around 135. In reality weight is more of a side note. What I really want to see is no more back fat, an actual hourglass shape, smaller thighs, and not so flabby triceps.


My Program:
2010 program "Meet with a Doctor and Nutritionist to evaluate my health and diet. Meet with a personal trainer 3 times a week for strength training. Do cardio minumum 30 minutes for at least 5 days a week and throw a few different classes every once in a while to mix it up."

2017 program Since I've done this before, I know what works now. I'm in Orangetheory classes 2-3 times a week, karate minimum 3 days a week and supplementing extra cardio when I can. The problem child for me will be sticking to tracking calories. Nutritionist last time put me on a 1400 calorie "diet" (I hate that word), so I'll stick with that range.

    Thanks for the comment on my blog. I sure hope it's not the case either! My knee used to dislocate all the time when I was in middle school but it hasn't happened in about 8 years. Hope surgery won't be necessary for me ;)

    Hey girlie-I do not do any dvd's yet. I may try to after getting settled into the new job but for now, the exercise equipment is all I can do that early in the am. I have my bike in the lr and can get up early and quietly watch the news and bike before getting ready. Once I get in the swing and find out my schedule-I will try to do some dvd's a few days a week. emoticon
