I think I can. I think I can. I KNOW I can.

I have now gained all the weight I worked so hard to lose here on Spark PLUS 80 pounds MORE! Ugh. Spark to the rescue again. : ) I can do this.

My Top 10 Reasons for Changing My Lifestyle (and being on SparkPeople):

10. To gain confidence as an athlete.

9. To look hot in my summer “uniform” – spandex cycling shorts and jersey.

8. To be a good role model for my daughter.

5. To not have to worry about whether these pants or that shirt make my fat belly or big caboose look fatter or bigger.

4. To look and feel sexy naked.

3. To look good in M instead of fat in a stretched to the max XL. Ugh.

2. To be so healthy that my MS set-backs won’t set me back as much.

1. To be healthy and live a long life!

HI! Thanks for adding me as a friend! I was checking out your homepage and see you're into cycling. I would love to get back into cycling. I take my bike to our cottage every year and we cycle about 15km each morning. It's a great way to get some exercise. Looking forward to some more spring like weather and getting rid of all this snow so I can get the bike out again.

Hey there, from your status post I take it you are not having a great day. We all have those days when we lack that motivation we need, and it seems like we just can't get on track... but I am here to tell you that YOU CAN DO IT! YOU ARE IN CONTROL!

Sometimes, I just need to look myself in the mirror and say "YOU ARE IN CONTROL!" just to remind myself that no one else is in control of me except me. I control what I eat. I control when and how I move my body. And some days are REALLY tough and it feels like i'm not in control (sometimes my work manager thinks SHE is in control, but NOPE! ;-) I'm still in control, of how I respond to situations, how I work through issues, and I can choose to still not give up, no matter what. even if that means doing squats and wall pushups at 9 p.m. at night.

And you can choose to get back on track RIGHT NOW. You don't have to wait for tomorrow. Choose now. Choose to have a good healthy meal for your next meal. Choose to take the stairs instead of the elevator, or take a lap around the block...

And I have faith in you! I know you can do this!

Hi my friend - I hope you are having a WONDERFUL Sunday :)

I am reaching out to a few of my SP friends to see if you would like to help me reach one of my SP goals. You may have also seen my request on our daily chit-chat message board on our 40 Somethings with 50-99 Pounds to Lose board. Here is what I posted:

I am working on setting up my goals and I am at a stretching point. So far, my goals have been focused around things that I want to change in my day-to-day life. It now feels like I need to set some goals with actual dates attached to them that are more long term than just for the day. This is kind of scary for me because this can be a real trigger. I am a bit of a perfectionist, so when I set longer goals (lets say a 30 day goal) and I blow it one day, I have a tendancy to chuck the whole thing (my Mom used to call it "throwing out the baby with the bath water").

If I can get at least 10 of you who are willing to set, commit to, and share with the group your own specific fitness goal for March, then we can all do it together. I will send out Sparkgoodies every week to each person who meets their goal for the week, and we can come up with ideas of how we are going to celebrate at the end of the month for everyone who makes their goal. Maybe each of us could plant something to commemorate our achievement and share out the pics of our plants. That way, we could have a living reminder in our own homes of this great group of friends and of our accomplishment. Or we could pick a day and go out into our individual communities and do 30 minutes of service to others in the name of our success (even something as simple as hanging out at the local grocery store and helping people load groceries into their car). We could then share out posts of our individual experiences. These are just a couple of ideas on how we could tackle our March fitness goals AND celebrate them together.

Two of our other team members are joining me and I was wondering...Would you be willing to join us? I really could use the help and support on this one -- it would mean a LOT to me.
