Chasing the last 20 lbs.

Hello, I am on the "count up" to my 40th birthday. I call it count up because I want it to be positive. I believe women should feel as good if not better at 40 as they did in their 20's. I have always worked out but have always struggled to lose the last 15 lbs I gained before kids. I look athletic which is great, but a little too thick for my build.

My Goals:
I don't consider myself overweight, I just don't look great in all pant styles anymore and would love to wear some cute summer fashions this year. My main goal is to feel good inside and out.

My Program:
I work out usually 4 days a week but have become stagnant the past 6 months. I have quit progressing. This year I am looking to boost my cardio 45 min 4 session in addition to strength training. I love weight training. I think it is a great way for women (especially over 35) to keep great tone.

Hey! So you ran a marathon in 95?! Which marathon? I have that on my bucket list but with a full time job, a toddler, and a lot of side projects going on, I just haven't recommitted myself.

Nice work on the pound gone! WooohoooO! So my confession is that I didn't plan out my food last week and as a result, I totally blew my calories. My week was insanely busy and instead of scheduling workouts I went with the flow which meant I didn't get nearly as much in as I wanted. That being said, this week is different and better! I have all of my meals planned out and all of my workouts. Now I just need someone to kick my butt if I get lazy again!

Here's to a great week 2! We will do it!

Hey there! So how is your challenge going? I went head strong for two days straight and then hit a rut with the work week being 100% meetings. I didn' plan wellfor that! So that is next week's change up for me. Even though I don't like planning, I will have to plan every single meal and snack or I won't be able to stay on course!

Anyway, I also fell off with exercise this week, but today through Sunday I'm aiming to reclaim some of the week!

Thank you so much! I really appreciate that! How are you doing with your goals? We just started a challenge yesterday if you want to join us it's not too late! It runs through end of year - goal is to get to that final destination so that 2012 starts out best possible :)
