It's not just about the weight, It's about my health!

I just hit what I call the second half of my life- I just turned 45! That's the half way mark if I plan on living until at least 90.

I really had to stop and take a good long look at how I am preparing myself for this part of my life and with 50 extra pounds -I am not starting off to well! So first things first, I need to lose some weight.

I have a family history of Osteoporosis and diabetes and have seen what it can do. If it is in my power to do so, I would like ...

I have been very fortunate that I have always been healthy except for my weight, and the weight is something I can do something about right now. So here is where it all begins!

My Program:
I am tracking my food intake and making healthier choices. Adding fruits/veggies, whole grains and learning to cook foods healthier. Walking is my main form of exercise and playing with the children outside.

Remember we can make healthy food choices, drink plenty of h2o and throw in some exercise today.

Hope youve had a good one. I had a meeting at work

I ate dinner at a friends house today. I was picking around trying to find something healthy to eat and was just thinking about how this journey is not easy but well worth it. Dinner was good and I made good food choices.
There's no easy way out.
If there were, I would have bought it.

Happy Monday. How was your weekend. I spent mine cleaning and packing boxes. My sweet hubby gave me two dozen roses and today my co-workers surprised me and took me out to lunch (I had a salad).

Feeling good today.

Goals today were water, healthy food choices and to wrap up some business I have been putting off.
