For the love of kids!

My name is Tabetha and I am currently 40 yrs old. I am a mother of six (5 boys, 1 girl). I am a Special Education Teacher in a Middle School. After being a teaching assistant for five years, I decided to go back to school and finish my degree. Now as one of my best friends tells me I am the designated arrow taker!

My health and weight keep me feeling sluggish and that is no way to feel when you are a teacher. I have seizures that cannot be medicated and so keeping myself ...

After being a teaching assistant for five years, I decided to go back to school and finish my degree. Now as one of my best friends tells me I am the designated arrow taker!

My health and weight keep me feeling sluggish and that is no way to feel when you are a teacher. I have seizures that cannot be medicated and so keeping myself healthy is very important. Annie is my seizure alert dog. We make a great team. She has been a God-send in my life. WIthout her, I would have never had the courage to go back to school. We are looking forward to teaching our very first class!

My favorite thing in the entire world is to read! In my family, I am the local librarian, specially when it comes to children's literature.

My other favorite things to do are bike and run. I use the word "run" loosely. I have been told that even if my running step is only a 1/2 a step quicker than my walk, I get to count it as babysteps and I am learning to run. I did run a marathon in 2012 at 225lbs. During the year long training I ran several 1/2 marathon distances.

I am thankful for this community and I pray each of you never gives up!
