Here I am again. I've just had a mini overhaul of this page but I'll leave the past 'introduction text' for the time being. Suffice to say I'm approaching this continued journey with renewed vigour and determination.

Huh! That is sooooooooo unfair. I wanted to take a look at some other people's pages so I'd get an idea what to write - but it can't be done. Winging it again - nothing new there then!

21st Feb '09
Well I've had a few days now to look around. And I've realised this is MY page and I can do what I like. I've had such fun reading other people's ideas though. A number of people have said how they aim to get into a particular outfit etc. I am going out with a friend to celebrate his birthday begining of March. It will only be two weeks since I started this so I can't expect miracles. I've looked in my wardrobe and chosen a dress that was just fractionally too tight before. I'm hoping I'll be able to wear it.

Well, I eventually got into the dress........... Now I'm going to have to choose another outfit to target on. Time I took some new pics too.

*ahem* Here I go again. Older and wiser [in theory], but still not slimmer.

Yey - seems this time I am getting back on track. For various reasons I have to approach it in a different way this time but it seems to be working.

My Program:
June 2015

Currently I'm being mindful of what I eat and watching portion sizes. Either yogurt, or cereal and fruit for breakfast. Home made soup for lunch, and a healthy home cooked meal, mainly vegetarian or pescatarian for dinner.

Exercise/walking is difficult at the moment so I've committed to a minimum of 15 minutes walking per day. To keep me going, I'm 'Walking to Mordor'.

Personal Information:
UK. Not all that far from London.

Other Information:
I live a mad life with children, parents and pets dependant on me. I'm preparing for the time when the children will need me less by getting fit (hopefully) and studying. Oh and trying to look '10 years younger' without resorting to surgery. ;-0

June 2015 update

The children aren't so dependent on me now. I'm still trying to look 10 years younger though. Or maybe 10 years healthier!

If you ever come to San Francisco, my front door is always open! Seriously, I would love to have you stay in my humble abode for a visit....

"I tend to believe that hanging on to 'old stuff' stops new things coming into our lives. Seems like I forgot that for a while." What beautiful and truthful words you wrote sweetie. And you are so right, keeping stuff around that has been around is just a way of not opening your heart to newer things. And good for you for burning your candles. Trader Joe's, a great store chain we have here in the states sells these candle pillars for only 4 American dollars that burn over 80 hours. You can't beat that one can you? Do you ever travel over here?

So happy to hear you are enjoying the good dishes. Don't ever save things for a later date. I use to never like to light my candles, always waiting for that rainy cold afternoon to do so. But in California, that rarely happened. And then I got my Aha moment a few years ago and decided to use everything I own...and I gratefully do. Hope your holidays go smoothly dear friend, get rid of those can openers! ;o)

Oh Honey, this last trip was a killer! Can't do it, won't do it, I set my boundaries and that is the rule for now on! How are you my dear friend across the pond? Chilly there? I would imagine it is! Seen any Royals around? I just am enamored with that whole klan! A big fan, ya know? HA! ;o) Happy holidays to you my dear! xoxoxo
