Here I am again. I've just had a mini overhaul of this page but I'll leave the past 'introduction text' for the time being. Suffice to say I'm approaching this continued journey with renewed vigour and determination.

Huh! That is sooooooooo unfair. I wanted to take a look at some other people's pages so I'd get an idea what to write - but it can't be done. Winging it again - nothing new there then!

21st Feb '09
Well I've had a few days now to look around. And I've realised this is MY page and I can do what I like. I've had such fun reading other people's ideas though. A number of people have said how they aim to get into a particular outfit etc. I am going out with a friend to celebrate his birthday begining of March. It will only be two weeks since I started this so I can't expect miracles. I've looked in my wardrobe and chosen a dress that was just fractionally too tight before. I'm hoping I'll be able to wear it.

18th Jan '10
Well, I eventually got into the dress........... Now I'm going to have to choose another outfit to target on. Time I took some new pics too.

*ahem* Here I go again. Older and wiser [in theory], but still not slimmer.

Yey - seems this time I am getting back on track. For various reasons I have to approach it in a different way this time but it seems to be working.

My Program:
June 2015

Currently I'm being mindful of what I eat and watching portion sizes. Either yogurt, or cereal and fruit for breakfast. Home made soup for lunch, and a healthy home cooked meal, mainly vegetarian or pescatarian for dinner.

Exercise/walking is difficult at the moment so I've committed to a minimum of 15 minutes walking per day. To keep me going, I'm 'Walking to Mordor'.

Personal Information:
UK. Not all that far from London.

Other Information:
I live a mad life with children, parents and pets dependant on me. I'm preparing for the time when the children will need me less by getting fit (hopefully) and studying. Oh and trying to look '10 years younger' without resorting to surgery. ;-0

June 2015 update

The children aren't so dependent on me now. I'm still trying to look 10 years younger though. Or maybe 10 years healthier!

Good for you for not caving! There is always the public library. It's a 2010 book and she is a popular author... but I'll be thinking of you when you check out the rumble sale.

I was in London and found a geocache at Paddington Station, lol with my DD in June. Great holiday. Next time I might go spark hopping and meet some UK spark friends. I was just passing through this time on an Ireland, Scotland then visiting family in the Bakewell area trip. Hey if you are ever in the Ottawa Canada area....

Anyways... imperfection and embracing it. I highly recommend "The Gifts of Imperfection". You know something is meant to be when several times it is mentioned... and this book a very well respected spark friend of me said I should read after she read one of my blogs about feeling like I did not "fit in" and then it was gifted to me by a neighbour when I was driving myself crazy trying NOT to be a perfectionist. Small book and I was ready to take a page of notes reading it... but 7 full typed pages later I thought "ding ding ding, this is exactly what I was needing". I have a couple of spark friends who know the author and love her so they will be reading the book with me as I go through it again. Yup, third time. It takes me a while to really get the message into my LIFE. Let me know if you decide to try it. Apparently it is a download on kindle as well.

    Approaching the chair...

Ahem, I respectfully believe anyone can and should sing. If Rod Stewart can do it...

Perhaps one day I'll find a way to hop across the pond and haul you out to karaoke. Do Brits do karaoke? They must!

But don't be so certain about those Unversal Null Points. Who knows what standards of excellence exist across the stars? Why, said intergalactic singing competition mightn't even be rated with a point system. Why, perhaps it isn't even broadcast in Extragalacticvision - how sense-privilege might that be? Perhaps there are numerous, simultaneous competitions which register vocalized sound waves through any number of strange, exo-organs - some of which might register your voice as the absolute pleasingest!
