Here for life

I joined SP in 2006 after seeing a photo of myself in a bikini. I have always had a BMI in the normal range, but that photo showed me clearly that I was slipping. One of my goals is to remain the size I am now for the rest of my life, somewhere between 125-130 lbs. Being an on-again, off-again SP member has also made me realize that SP can help me with my long-term health maintenance. I can be here even if I'm not trying to lose weight!

I am now actively trying to find a way to incorporate SP into my daily routine. I mainly use the fitness programs and tracker, the recipes, and the community forums. Being able to see those exercise minutes add up always feels great and being involved with the journey of others is truly the key to success.

Thank you for your kind comments. Routine doesn't really help me, I just insist on getting my own way - and don't have too many commitments to get in the way. emoticon

It felt better when I pushed through it. But not always. Sometimes I have to give myself a break. If I push too hard then I'm down for days. If I have to I trade one thing for another like less calories if I'm too tired to workout or chocolate if do!

I just started back on the program and am only 3 days in so I'm still at a point where I have the laser beam focus of a newbie, lol! It's always a choice and more often than not when I've chosen to let exhaustion win it didn't feel good.

Thank you, TITANIA23, for your supportive comments on my blog. You know it could have been about my failing some of my goals, specifically nutritional with regard to my recent Chinese carryout order. I ordered like I used to before SP; the soup, the appetizer, two entrées that came with all the bells and whistles add-ons. We still have leftovers (I should throw them in the trash... I just hate to be wasteful). If only I had read MYOWNHERO's blog Conquering the Restaurant Minefield first. Have you read this blog?

Yes, I need to be sure I get enough fiber or I feel... just plain old heavy and slow and well, gross.

Did you see NANCYHOME247's comment? You know, I almost never meet all my nutrient goals in the tracker either. Especially potassium, magnesium, and folate. Do you? What do you do to try to get these in?

Keep Sparking and thank you once again for checking out my blog.
