Sticking With It...

In May 2008, I went on a trip with two friends, one of whom was an aspiring photographer. The trip was miserable--we walked everywhere, my feet and legs were swollen, and my friend, the photographer, was kind enough to document my misery with tons of photos. Photos that were promptly posted on facebook for the whole world to see, of course. I had also spent the previous week helping my sister look for size 00 clothes. Photos that were promptly posted on facebook for the whole world to see, of course. I had also spent the previous week helping my sister look for size 00 clothes. Faced with a mountain of photographic evidence that I was, indeed, not just chunky, but truly, undeniably, fat, I decided to take action. I've had some success along the way (ran a 5k, lost 30 pounds, discovered a love of lifting weights), but am still fighting to lose the weight permanently.
