Hi, I'm Nadene, and I'm an alcoholic . . . .=)
Actually the only thing I am addicted to is diets. Sometmies, the plans work for a while, then something happens . . .with my job, my family, a holiday, m&m's land in my mouth =), and I just quit. I am done quitting. I don't want to miss my twenties because of my insecurities and short breath. My mother is a diabetic, her mother is a diabetic, and her mother was a diabetic. I don't want it. If there is any delay I can give that gene from becoming my disease, I need to do it. I am ready to make the commintment for a healthy lifestyle. It is time . . .

My Goals:
I am not very good at the making plans thing. I know what I want, but at this point I need to take it one day at a time. Once the good habits really start to stick, I think I can strive more aggressively for the big plans I have in mind. Getting into shape, eating right without forcing it, and exercising because I want to. . .that'll be my first step.

Personal Information:
I need a lot of motivation. People do help. Saying good job or keep going helps. When I am having a bad day and a perfect stranger smiles at me . . .it helps. Also, I like to make any situation as light hearted as possible, so that it doesn't seem so massive and impossible.


Other Information:
My parents are the most amazing people. My father quit smoking on the first of this year (2008) He had been smoking for over twenty five years, and he quit . . .cold turkey. My mother, who is a cancer survivor and a diabetic, is on a plan to lose weight and excercise. She is in pain most of the time and chases after her five year old nephew most of the day and she has began to make a change in her life. They are just amazing people and I am so proud to follow their footsteps. I am twenty one years old. I can do this.

I workout at the YMCA in Gardena,I haven't been in 2 weeks because both my daughter and I just got over the flu.
    I see on your weight loss progress chart you've lost some weight already,CONGRATS girl. I'm too shy to put a chart up right now,maybe I will later.
