Fitting fitness in a busy life

I'm a mom of 6 girls - a single mom of 6 for the past 13 years. They are now 15, 15, 20, 21, 23, and 29, and it's been quite a ride. Most of them still live with me, along with 2 grandsons, so my life is full and unbelieveably busy. I consider myself very blessed indeed. I'm a mom of 6 girls - a single mom of 6 for the past 13 years. They are now 15, 15, 20, 21, 23, and 29, and it's been quite a ride. Most of them still live with me, along with 2 grandsons, so my life is full and unbelieveably busy. I consider myself very blessed indeed. I wouldn't trade a moment of it or any of them for anything in the world, but it wasn't exactly the way things were "supposed" to go. I've always loved running, but havent always had time to fit it in the routine, but I'm at a place now where I want to be more physically fit (and a bit thinner), so I'm getting back into it. My goal used to be a marathon by age 40, but twins and back surgery and single parenting put the time frame off a bit, so now I'm hoping to do it in my early 50's with (maybe?) a 1/2 marathon by age 50 (21 months from now, yikes!). I've led a pretty full and active first 48, and I can't wait to see what the second half of my time on earth brings, should the Lord choose to leave me here that long. Whatever may come, I know it's going to be fabulous!

My Program:
1. Run 2-3 miles before work M-F
2. Strength and Core workout Tu, Th, Sa with another 2-3 miles
3. Track calories and fitness every single day

Personal Information:
5'9" and my ideal weight is about 160. Military (combat) veteran. Single mom of 6 amazing daughters, ages 15-29. My girls are my world, and God is my strength. In Him, I can do anything.

Other Information:
Who's too busy???????Always tickles me when people say they don't have time to (fill in the blank). I CHALLENGE anyone out there to show me a busier schedule than the one I've lived for the past 13 years, with all of my girls heavily involved in sports, and church, and anything else they wanted. It's crazy and it's chaos, but it's so much fun! I learned early on and have taught my girls, if I don't take care of me, I'm no good to them. They encourage my me time, and I have always had one evening that was just mine. The only way I stay sane... well, relatively so anyway.
