Doin' Great in 2008.

I'm doing a sprint triathlon this summer [yes, I know I said that last summer ;-) ]. That's a half mile swim, twelve mile bike ride and a three mile run. I am ever-so-slowly moving from being an overweight, middle-aged nonathlete to a triathlete.

My Goals:
--Finish a sprint triathlon.
--Run a 5k.
--Fit into my size 6 jeans.
--Be a mindful eater.
--Participate in an urban adventure race.


My Program:
Food:
--Work up to 8-10 fruits and vegetables a day.
--Measure my starches.
--Eat sensibly in the evening.

Exercise:
For right now, just anything regularly.

Sense of well-being:
--Speak kindly to myself.
--Do one thing that takes me out of my comfort zone each day.
--Do one thing I've been procrastinating on each day.
--Do one thing that adds to my financial health each day.


Personal Information:
I'm a starter/stopper when it comes to exercise. These last few months prove it.

Thank goodness I'm also an optimist and I don't give up. If I keep starting often enough, I'll have to get to where I'm going!

Hi!! I have been MIA for years and still dealing with this weight struggle but I think I got it down mentally now!! I think I "get it" and why I have not been truly successful... I hope all is well! :)

Hi - saw your post on Feeling Good. We have the same goal - finish a Triathlon Sprint this summer. Let's do it! I registered for a mini triathlon in May. And I plan to do a sprint in August. No, I am not that fit. And, I'm old......LOL
