Workin Towards a New Me
I am a 46 year old female who has struggled with my weight for since my early 20's. I lose weight by various means but can never maintain it for long. I always gain back what I lose and then some. I am a 46 year old female who has struggled with my weight for since my early 20's. I lose weight by various means but can never maintain it for long. I always gain back what I lose and then some. I originally joined Sparkpeople last February. I weighed 211 lbs. I tracked my intake, drank my water and exercised regularly and by early summer, I was down to 184 lbs. Then I caught a nasty cold in July which I couldn't shake for six weeks. My exercise went out the window because I was having breathing issues. My proper eating went out the window not long after. So here I am in August of 2012 weighing 216 this morning. I am mad that I have gained it all back. I have made several attempts to get back on track, but haven't been able to stick with is yet. So, today is again another new start. I really need to get up and exercise early in the morning again like I did last year. The exercise seems to keep me on track with my food. Gotta do something soon as I am feeling the effects of the weight gain. I don't like how I feel physically. I am short of breath, things hurt and I just plain don't like my reflection. I really need to start looking after myself, but how do I keep my focus?
