Journey to a healthy life

Hi my name is Cora I am 51and I live in BC Canada
Well I am finally doing something for myself! I have always been the person who has been there for everyone else and not taken care of myself. Well a year and a half ago I started to make my first changes for me. I quit smoking after 25+ years. Yes, I quit cold turkey. I have not looked bad since then. My Goals:
1. To go to fitness 4 to 5 days a week.
2. To follow menu plan daily.
3. To track fitness and other goals daily.
4. To read motivational story or book daily.



My Program:
I. I go length swimming 3 days a week for 20min. than I go to Aqua spinning classes for 45min.
2. 2 days a week I do a fitness video from SP.
3. Reading a book at present by Dr Ali Zentner The Weight-Loss Prescription. (Jan/13)

Maria’s Onderland Party is finally here. Friday we are throwing Maria (Fusion Fitness) a dance-a-thon at 6pm Standard Time, Maria’s web page http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage.asp?id=F
USIONFITNESS3 Just cut and paste this address in your browser. So same time as California in the States. She likes music from the 70’s so we will be having a Disco Party. It won’t be a party without great Spark Friends stopping by to celebrate, dance a bit and offer Congrats to her for all her hard work to get to this awesome goal. If you don’t mind bring a Spark goodie with you to share at the party. We will have Video web addresses for the songs we will be dancing to, so everyone can get some fun partying in, and cardio at the same time. It would be great if you can take a picture of your dancing and if you are up for it throwing in some Hippy outfit or maybe just a Peace sign and post it on your page or a blog so Maria can see everyone having fun at her dance-a-thon. John Travolta will be there you can count on that! I am looking for some flower power, maybe even a cool peace sign lol. Wouldn’t it be great if we could all Skype a dance party? She likes music from the 70’s so we will be having a Disco Party. It won’t be a party without her great Sister and Spark buddy stopping by to celebrate, dance a bit and offer Congrats to her for all her hard work to get to this awesome goal. I am giving a week notice so you can save up some spark goodie points if you don’t mind to share at the party. We will have Video web addresses for the songs we will be dancing to, so everyone can get some fun partying in, and cardio at the same time. Cora,

I am sorry my link did not work, it took me some time reading through my own blogs to find them. They were a good reminder to me to keep going. The blog I suggested is Friday October 19th on page 2 called " The Sparkinator Rules". I hope you like it and can relate to it. By the way I found a 11 minute chair cardio work out from Coach Nicole that did include the legs, but I used the sides of my feet instead of my toes to accomplish it. I just do it twice to get in a good 20 min cardio. I don't know if you can do it with your leg the way it is, but it is designed for you to taylor with what works for you. Hope that helps. Then I am doing ST on my bed so I don't put too much pressure on my toes getting up. Hope this helps. Hugs Susan

If you would like you are invited to my "I finally lost 50 lbs" party at DSBride page. She is providing the decorations so bring a Spark treat to share and share in my Joy and setting of my next goal to move forward, always forward. Wear what you'd like, fancy dress, Pj's what ever you fancy. I think I will wear those Red 6 Inch heeled stiledo's in the Spark goodies, just to know what it feels like, I usually wear flats. I am bringing Fresh Grilled Salmon for all, come enjoy dancing and good music and treats and the support of fellow sparkers! Hugs Susan ps kudos on getting you lungs back!
