It's Always a Good Time 2 Smile

Weight-loss has changed my life in so many ways. It has given me so much more to smile about!! It's hard to feel good about yourself when you're stuffing junk food in your mouth while sitting on the couch watching Lifetime TV! :) ... But no more ...

I have lost 80 pounds since I began my health and wellness journey on Jan. 1, 2003. I am 5'8" and weigh170. My starting weight was 250. My goal is 155, and I hope to achieve that by Sept. 4.

I lost my weight largely by counting calories and exercising. I wish I would have found Spark People earlier in the process, but I am glad to have found them now.

My Goals:
- Reach lifetime goal of 155 by Sept. 4, 2009.

- Make myself 10 years younger by following the advice I received after taking the Real Age test at www.realage.com. I am currently 8 years younger than my actual age of 46. YEAH!

- Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.

- Keep God in the equation of everything I do and every task I undertake.

- Help others achieve their weight-loss goals.

- Take time to enjoy time. It's all we have!

- Simplify, simplify, simplify!

My Program:
- Exercise a minimum of 30 minutes every day, and also add weightlifting three days a week.

- Keep my calories at 1,3,00-1,500 per day.

- Refuse to buy items that will cause me to binge and get off track.

- Regularly read information on health and wellness so that it stays Top Of Mind!

Personal Information:
My husband and I live in Vancouver, WA. You are more than welcome to write to me using Spark Mail.
We have a cat named Stetson who is quite entertaining. He thinks he's the Cat's Meow, and he is ... :)
My husband and I love to walk, hike, bicycle and take road trips -- especially to the coast, but wherever the wind blows us on our free days!
We enjoy church activities, reading at our favorite coffeeshop, and just being together.

Welcome to 40 something maintainers! You'll be at goal before you know it. Stetson is gorgeous. We have an orange longhair tabby named Christopher Robin. It's great that you're planning ahead for when you hit goal and maintenance. Just because we're over 40 doesn't mean we have to get or stay pudgy!! Pauline

Page looks great. Stetson is adorable...... I have 3 kitties myself, well I actually have 8 in my house. 5 were strays a mom and her 4 kittens who took up residence under my deck. I have caught them all and now am trying to get them all tamed so they can find good homes. Wish me luck. (Mama is pregnant again.... no good deed) Congrats on the loss. emoticon
