In 2009 I lost 50 pounds...and found 40 of them. I came back in January 2014 with a goal. Exercise 10 mins a day. I started with that and slowly incorporated hiking. I love hiking and have had the opportunity to explore many places around the world but there was one hike that I had never done and along with my husband we set our goal to do the Grouse Grind, lovingly referred to as "Natures Stair Master", this summer. On August 16, 2014 I reach a 70 pound weight loss and finished the Grind with my amazing husband by my side. I'm looking forward to new activities including Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoeing this winter. They say all journeys start with a single step, I couldn't agree more.

My Goals:
To not let my weight stop me from enjoying adventure. I love hiking and nature and want to get back into exploring.



My Program:
Meal planning.

Focus on cooking with fresh herbs from the garden and veggies from the farmers markets. No more pre-packaged quick meals.

Adding exercise and being accountable for the good and the bad.

Other Information:
Starting with a small 1KM I have worked up to 6 hour hikes involving climbing mountains and hiking along cliffs. It all starts with that single commitment of exercising 10 mins a day and having goals.

LOL! Fabulous idea in response to my blog. I will be laughing about that for a while!

Incidentally...I inadvertently had about a quarter of a teaspoon of parmesan cheese yesterday (long story), and it is official - there is no safe amount!

Thank you for reading my blog. I never knew you could freeze cereal. I don't know why I did not know. I freeze everything else! Mine is kinda' interesting too. Like about a million coffee creamers I bought on sale. emoticon
