Im a 38 yr old happily married male living in SE Kansas. I have a wonderful step-son and a wonderful family. My wife and I are both paramedics and see the results of unhealthy living all the time at work. I do not wish to become a patient! Hey, Tik!

How's your summer going? I don't know where you live...but there's been a lot of bad weather in the south so I hope you & your family are safe and lovin' summer.

We came home from CA the first week of May to 44" of snow still on the ground. ugh. Then it snowed through Memorial Day. Finally, it's stopped and it's green & gorgeous. The land is still muddy, so bikers are asked to wait and not make ruts. Truthfully, I'm not a mtn biker...too chicken.

How's your Spark doing? I started strength training at a gym and lost quite a bit of weight. Making muscles really seems to be the key instead of just burning tons of calories...but that's important, too. Guess we need the combo.

Drop a line sometime & keep on sparkin! You'll be glad you did when you're my age and wish you'd started at 38!

I enjoyed your photo blog about the dirt road rides...it's not always about the miles! Sometimes it's about the smiles! Keep up the good work!

Hey, Tik! Thanks for the comment. That's a very smart suggestion. I'm pretty complulsive about making every move count...and that's kinda silly. My dh & I should just have a leisurely ride now and then and forget about speed, distance and pushing, pushing. Thanks for the reality check! You are one smart cookie!
