I am a 35 year old young woman who has returned to school to pursue a nursing degree. I have a niece that I miss like crazy because we do not live in the same city. : ( In my spare time I am studying for school or doing my best to get to the gym in the hopes of preventing the "freshman 15". I would love to here from any RN's out there as I need all the advice I can get.

My Goals:
My main goal is to not put on any weight while I am in school. My secondary goal is to take off a few pounds. Other goals include fitness goals such as improving my running time and finding the motivation to incorporate the weights into my program after a run.
My Program:
To meet my goals I have joined sparkpeople, am tracking my food to get a better idea of where the calories are coming from, eating as many fruits and vegetables as I can afford, and trying to exercise for a minimum of 3 times a week for thirty minutes.
Personal Information:
I am originally from the great state of Texas, but am now a New Yorker. It is true what they say about this place; if you let it get into your blood, it is really hard to leave. I do not plan to stay for ever, but for now I cannot imagine being anywhere else.
Other Information:
