My First Diet

I am on a diet to reduce my cholesterol & blood pressure, as well as to drop a few pounds along the way!

My doctor & nutritionist have given me a specific diet to follow, so I am not using the meal plans here. However, the "FOOD TRACKER" tool is *AWESOME* and I am using it to track my daily food intake, calories, fat grams, carbohydrates, and proteins.

more comments on the starch based diet. Check out www.drmcdougall.com you can do a search of his newsletters...type in cholesterol or blood pressure or such. This is the starch based program that we follow.

He has many books you might be able to find at your library. Reading the testimonials is motivating. The program does not fit with conventional medical practices...cuz it WORKS and therefore would not make money for the medical community. Just take a look around.

Besides starch the programs is vegan...no added oils. It takes some getting used to...but the results are worth it.
