I never really struggled with my weight, I ran cross country and I was a gymnast. Then one day I rolled my car and spent the next 6 months in a wheel chair. Talk about killing my metabolism. I gained a lot of weight and then I lost most of it. I maintained for several years. Then life got complicated and I gained most of it back. My biggest motivation to lose the weight is pain management. I broke over 25 bones in the accident, and although my body will still hurt every day, it hurts a lot less when I am not carrying the extra weight around. I know the road isn't easy, but I have traveled it before and know I can succeed. I have finally reached the point again where nothing but success is an option.

I had lost about 35 lbs two years ago, but have gained all of it back since the wedding. Now it is time to take care of my health again. In June, I will be helping chaperone a group of high schoolers on a trip to Europe. I know the tour company will have us walking a lot every day and I want to be able to keep up with the kids!
