Life is good! I need to remember that as I continue on with my journey to become healthy and fit. It is hard work trying to keep my goals in front of me, some days are easier than others though.

I have been struggling with my weight for quite a while, I lose the pounds only to gain them back again. I just can't seem to keep in control after I reach my goal. I am determined to do it this time around.

I joined Spark People several years ago, lost my weight and didn't come back. I realize that was a big mistake and it definitely wasn't a good thing. I need the encouragemnt and motivation I get here. This is an awesome place!

My Goals:
I want to learn to eat healthier, to get fit and lose a few pounds in the process. My biggest goal is to have more self-confidence....to be happy with who I am.

My Program:
My plan is to get out and walk more and to be careful of my food choices. I also need to start adding strength exersices to my daily plan.

Personal Information:
I live in central Pennsylvania with my dear hubby. I have two daugters & sons-in-law, one grandson and 4 granddaughters. Grandchildren are such a blessing!!!
I was a dental assistant for almost 25 years, until my dentist/boss retired. I now work as a secretary for a local oil company.

Other Information:
I love spending time with my family. We do alot of camping and boating. My hubby and I also enjoy riding motorcyles. I love working on crafts...needlework, sewing. I love reading...especially into Amish fiction books right now.

    Its not much fun but I am rearranging a good portion of the house as I go and it looks much better (at least the parts that are done do!)

    Hi Tidbit. Just wanted you to know I had the same problem, of not being consistent. I joined TOPS, & the support I get from them are great. They don't sale food or anything like that. They just help you to exercise, & eat right. It took me a year but I have lost 31 lbs. I am back with sparkspeople to track my nutrition, exercise. It is a help. I found that loosening weight is like quitting smoking. It is all a habit. Once I broke the habits, I started walking everyday, at least a 1 mi or more just around my town. I also have two welch corgis that keep me going. Do you have a dog, or even a cat, I have a cat that use to walk with us. I know this probably sounds like a ad but, is not. It is me. I can't tell you how much better I feel. I am on oxygen 24/7. But am much better, Thank you for listening to me. I am here to help & encourage you. Sharon 1160 days ago
