Phenomonal Woman

A husband who I want to look great for, a 11yr old, 9 year old, a 7 yr old, and a 2 year old, a relationship with God, and I'm a full-time student. walk everyday, body weight excercises for strength training, rent videos for some mix up, adding in little bits where I can.

I have days where I feel like an epic failure and other days when I tell myself I must really not care about losing weight and getting healthy because I haven't done it! I have all kinds of excuses- the treadmill doesn't work right, my shoes leave blisters, my sports bra is too tight... All true but none are reasons to eat more and move less! I can not do this on my own. Do I want to do this? I am headed to 32 years old and I feel like I am still striving to figure out who I am. And I do not want to be the chunky friend (mom, wife, sister, coworker...) any more than I wanted to be the girl with the long hair. So- maybe not an uplifting post, but it is how I am feeling right now.

Gosh, another "start." Last Saturday I started walking again on a treadmill I purchased used from my parents. I walked 4 days in a row, missed 3 days, and just walked 65 minutes. I need to celebrate the small victories and forgive myself for the failures. And- I need to stop making excuses and just do this!!!
I realized yesterday that my kokopelli tattoos on my lower abdomen are no longer "standing"; now the poor little guys look like they are resting their heads on their feet while the rest of their bodies have disappeared under my belly...

I turned 31 today. One year from now I WILL be a smaller, healthier, happier version of who I am today.

I'm not sure which is harder- losing weight or potty training Elias. What I do know is that I AM going to accomplish both of these things! I found out that I do not have to run with Emily for her Girls on the Run race, but since I am already signed up I am going to do the race with her. And if I come in last, as long as I finish, I'll be proud.
