Thank you for stopping by.

I found this site in April 2006, signed up, and then forgot about it. I came back to the site at the end of July 2006 and decided to check it out and see what it's all about.

I started out doing the food tracker menu suggestions. Then I tried not using it. I'm using it again as I still mess up if I don't.

You really are doing great according to your chart! I thing the nutrition tracker is the most important part because you learn portion sizes and you get to see how maintaining a steady diet and exercise makes a difference. I have dropped a little in keeping track of my nutrition only because I am maintaining now. I still weigh in as I was and all and I go after that pound or two when they show up on the scale ..
So what I am saying is .. stick with it. This is the best program I have found and I am just celebrating my 60th birthday.
I do believe that whatever you do, you have to burn more calories than you take in. Your body does the rest. I found that once I decided to save on gas and walk, walk, and more walk, thngs were slow. I realize that most people with a family can't do that ... but at my age I guess that is a plus.
Please check out the Dogwood Trailblazer post in the message board. We are pretty active and we enjoy meeting new people who want to walk it off.

Welcome to the Joplin team--so glad you decided to join our group. My name is Gary and I have lost close to 80 lbs since last April and I am the team leader for Joplin. Just the last few months the team has gotten actively involved again and there are some great members on the team doing great things! If you have any questions or concerns let us know. Meantime, we have some good ongoing discussions and a place to check in every day and let everyone know how you are doing.
