You have the right attitude, and you WILL do this!
I've found that weight loss is pretty easy, actually... all you have to do is focus your energy on it...every single day... and it happens! It's when we (as we so often do as women, partners, mothers/caretakers) put ourselves last and focus all our energy on other people/pets/causes that we wake up one day and say "Hey! How'd this happen???".
I was injured 6 years ago and totally 'get' the lifestyle change that goes along with that... and, sadly I also totally 'get' the weight gain that comes along with it, too! SP is a great place to get support for healthy eating - I see that you're veggie/vegan, so I probably can't offer you any thoughts there, but I will offer a 'hug' and a "You go, Beautiful!" and look forward to seeing your progress on this journey!
