The start of this was all about the cholesterol. But the journey has become so much more.

On April 26, 2009 I began to seriously work on the Spark program because my dr. had this "statins or else" attitude. I was sure that I could make the lifestyle changes that would bring my cholesterol down from 234 to normal limits.

Today I am almost 35 lbs. lighter. I have much more strength and physical endurance and I have "perfect" blood chemistry:

Today I am almost 35 lbs. lighter. I have much more strength and physical endurance and I have "perfect" blood chemistry:

Total cholesterol: 177
Triglycerides: 90
HDL: 52
LDL: 107
Chol/HDL ratio:3.4

I love Sparkpeople and all the friends who are supporting me on this journey. Just 16.5 lbs. to go to achieve my weight goal. Then we start all over with new goals to accomplish!

That sounds super yummy. I had some homemade spanakopita for lunch!

Thanks hun... hope you had a great weekend!

I trained, just not as well as I did for my last 10K... I've only been doing 3-4 mile runs lately.

well just think, when you're ready to come out - you'll come out with a lot of gusto and determination - and that's great:)

Thanks so much for the wedding comments - we had a wonderful time with friends and family - it was so low key and relaxing - no stress at all. Now back to the grindstone!

The tomatoes are delicious! If you have never tried Brandywines I highly recommend them. I, luckily, did not get tomato blight last year, as I grew from seed and no one in my area but me grows. But we had such a cool, wet summer that they basically rotted on the vine. Good luck with those last few stubborn pounds - you can do it!
