UGH...I've never done this before so please forgive me if I sound scatter-brained. I am a mother of 5 and grandmother of 2. I hate what I have become and want to reverse course. I was once a very active, healthy, and enthusiastic mom, but now find myself a depressed sluggard unable to keep up. I have watched in awe as my husband lost 70 pounds, but I just couldn't muster the motivation to join him. I am tired of letting people down and being an embarrassment to my kiddos. I want to go to bed feeling great about my accomplishments instead of feeling guilty over my failures.

My Goals:
Here is my goal in a nut-shell: To loose weight and become a roll model for my kids. I want to be able to enjoy the outdoors, instead of hiding in the house.

My Program:
Baby steps for me. First plan of attack is cleaning out the cupboards and fridge to eliminate temptations. Then begin modified South Beach Diet to reduce my sugar addiction. Exercise-like movements will commence immediately. (no more couch potato for me)

Personal Information:
I reside in Michigan with my wonderful husband and we have been blessed with 5 great kids. (ages 28, 23, 22, 16, and 10) We have 4 strapping boys and 1 sweet angel of a daughter. We also have 2 cutie-pie granddaughters who bring us so much joy.

Other Information:
Have finally come to grips with the fact that I am a food addict. I have recently fallen off the wagon and am faced with the daunting task of climbing back on. It's never easy but I know that once I am on I will start feeling like myself again.
