Welcome! I've been on a journey down the scale for a couple years now. I've lost about 95 lbs so far and I've got another 135 lbs to go to reach my goal weight. I hope I can help motivate and support you as you reach for your goals.


My Advantages to Losing Weight are:

Ill feel better; my feet and knees wont hurt
Ill have a flat belly
My yoga practice will be richer
Ill feel better about myself; be more confident
Itll be easier to lose more weight - my resistance muscle will be strong; temptations and cravings will diminish; Ill exercise portion control
Ill believe and trust in the weight-loss skills I have
Ill prove to myself that I can do anything I set my mind to doing
Ill have a greater voice; people will want to listen to me
Ill get off cholesterol meds
Ill greatly reduce my risk of getting Type 2 diabetes, and some cancers
My family and friends will be proud of me and brag about me
Ill be an inspiration to Bob, Rose and Mom to lose weight
Ill have more energy, strength and flexibility (and will probably live longer)
Ill do more things and go more places
Ill buy sexy matching lingerie
Ill look fantastic at Kelly's wedding
Dave will brag to his students
Ill make my coach proud and prove her value

I plan to weigh no more than 150 lbs by March 2, 2010.


My Program:
- Mega veggies and fruit with good whole grains and lean proteins (Pritikin/Mayo Clinic/ Fat Smash)
- drink plenty of water
- exercise at least 5 days per week
- read and follow the Beck Diet Solution program

    Hey Trish! Just wanted to respond to your weigh in post. I have also been angry for a no reason gain, and my way of handling it was to quit everything...tracking, posting, trying, etc. I think I must have pouted for 2 weeks, I was being such a baby! Now I know to take the bull by the horns and kick its hiney a few times! My numbers didn't match up with my efforts this past week, either, so let's kick some hiney this week! emoticon
