I joined SP in the summer of 2007. My original SP-set goal was 142 pounds by mid-February of 2008. I hit 141 on Jan 30 (but it took me seeing that number for a few more days before I could believe it). On March 31, 2008 I officially weighed in at 135, my adjusted goal! That was a 35 pound loss in 7 months. And I kept it off for four years. Yeah baby!

2012 is here and I've crept back up to 148. I went through lots of changes in the past two years: I got divorced and remarried, my ex passed away, and we've moved two states away to Idaho. Crazy! The weight gain I've experienced recently has less to do with stress and more to do with just eating too much or eating the wrong things. Or both! There has been lots of traveling, parties, etc which meant lots of food. My vacation eating started leaking into my everyday eating. My exercise has fallen in some ways, I don't exercise as often as I did when I first joined SP, but in the last year I've discovered ballroom dancing which I LOVE! My husband and I try to go as often as we can. It used to be 2-3 times a week, but since moving we're still getting settled and scouting out places to dance around here. My goal for now is to lose the weight I've put back on, get back in control of my eating, eat healthier foods in general, and make sure I'm getting enough cardio and strength training. Bring it on 2012!!
