Run for the Hills

Im Leah! 31, 4 kids and Im working on my willpower and getting back in shape. I want to be a serious runner again and I also want to lose 32.5 more lbs to reach my goal of 135.

My Goals for this year are:

Eat cleaner and healthier

Lose 30 more lbs....Im tall, so if I lose 20 and decide that 10 more will make me look too skinny then I will stop at 20..

Run the Country Roads 10k in Sept 2012

My Program:
I just started running again after a LONG break do to a back injury. Ive had to start all over from the beginning. It's frustrating after running 60 miles per week. But I will get back there.



Other Information:
I love to sew and quilt for others. I do alot of custom quilting for special occasions (weddings, graduations, births)..But I also really enjoy restoring heirloom quilts. People come to me with something their grandmother made and I fix it for them. I know how happy it makes them because I have quilts of my own that my great grandmother made. Playing underneath her quilt frame while she worked is one of my happiest childhood memories

Hey thanks for the comment. Yeah I up in the air about if it was a good idea to run the marathon without being an avid runner. I figured since the marathon is still 10 months away i would half enough time to be able to train enough. I run about 4-5 miles a day right now. Should I still demote myself to just doing another half marathon? I don't want to crash & burn trying to do a marathon if I probably should!

I'll be running in Gruene in October...hope to meet you then!

Is a half in August possible for you? I'm running in Dallas on August 15. It's gonna be hot, but I hear it's an awesome--and small!--race. Just a thought since you said you were looking for one! (:


Oh and if you find any 10ks or 5ks between now and then, let me know. I love racing!!
