8/15/10 - increase to 60 min. total cardio daily - getting this at least 3X/week as of 4/7/11.
9/30/10 - get physician approval to start running = done 9/7/10.
10/1/10 - start Chi Running & training for 5k = C25K started 9/12/10.
5K walk 9/19/10 = done.
5K walk 10/16/10 = done.
5K walk 11/7/10 = done.
12/5/10 - 5K RUN Ed Root Memorial 5K = done.
1/1/11 -Resolution Run 5K = done.
January 2011 - start training for 10K = B210K started 1/4/11.
1/22/11 - Go Dog Go 5K = done.
5/28/11 - Liberty Run 10K = done.
June 2011 - start training to finish full marathon =done.
11/28/2011 - Run Space Coast Marathon=done.
January 2012 - Start training 4-hour marathon=started
March 2012 - family emergency ends training
July 2012 -redo C25K done

August 2012 - Training for 26.2 w/Donna in memory of my sister - week 7

Someday in the future:
Run Boston!!

Maintain 30 min. total cardio daily.
Maintain nutrition/calorie daily goals.
Find fun ways to fit in more exercise.

Yay! Another Joe Cross fan!! Are you able to run during your juice cleanse? I did the standard reboot last fall during marathon training found it difficult to complete my long runs.

I watched the documentary, "Sick, fat, and nearly dead" and joined their website jointhereboot.com. I juice fruits and veggies and I'm doing a 7 day program.

Holly, thanks so much for your kind words. I'm not really much of a blogger, so I didn't think to write about the experience.

My time was terrible due to heat & foot problems after stepping on a rock around mile 11. But I was determined to finish and miraculously, the clock was still running when I did, despite being past the course closing time. So I got an official chip time of 7:50:49, which was 1:20 longer than my training estimate of 6:30.

I can't say enough about the amazing folks at the Space Coast Marathon, they made it truly memorable.
