Sometimes life can be a little too good..

I'm looking to loose the weight I've gained over the last few years working in the wine biz.

top end weight was 238lbs in 2002.
I had lost about 22lbs about a year later but remaind there for about the last 3 years.

My goal is get back (to some degree) the body I had before Y2K (remember that catch phrase! The world didn't end, but my active life style did.)

Goal weight:180lbs.

UPDATE: Feb 3 2007
I have reached my goal of 180lbs!
The next step to to continue the spark people way of life and to get the body fat down to the point where I can see the old six pack.

I'm Back.....
I've been a bad bad boy....
It's been a good year since I last really paid attention to spark people, and I've learned that I can't do this by my self!
I'm back up to 195lbs! Bugger!!!
Today is a new day.....

I'm running 5 miles 3 days a week,strengh traing 3 day a week for an 45min at a time.

Congratulations on achieving goal weight. You've done a great job. I absolutely agree with you about eating your carbs early to fuel your day and eating your lean proteins and veges in the evening. That has worked well for me too. I actually find I don't really feel like carbs later in the day anyway :o)
You are doing awesomely with your running, I look forward to when I can run as far.
Good luck with maintenance and well done again on achieving that healthy lifestyle.
